We price your move based on your inventory and come up with a guaranteed price. This is called a "binding price". We never charge by the hour - see our FAQ section to learn more about how moves are priced!
A binding price is a price that the moving company commits to, and that should be your final price - based on the inventory and other details of your move. Hourly pricing is based on how long it took to complete your move - it is not known until the movers actually finished the job - the charge is per hour.
With a binding price, you don't have to worry about whether the moving company is performing the move fast or slow, and you can be assured that the move budget will stay as you expected it to be.
When a moving company provides a price "by weight", it means that they will estimate the total weight of the items you're moving, and calculate a price according to that. On the other hand, a price "by inventory", is based on the actual inventory (tables, chairs, sofa) you are moving, with a price per item.
